Care and Assistance
Care and Assistance
In every person’s life, there are inevitable times of need, whether an acutely difficult situation, an ongoing challenge, or an episode of crisis. As a church family, we are here for each other always, including times of need. Pastoral staff and trained leaders of the church seek to provide care in our church especially during challenging seasons.
Deacons and deaconesses care for those in our community with practical needs and shapes a culture of care, believing the gospel brings transformation. They offer:
- Spiritual guidance
- Practical guidance and help
- Financial assistance
For pastoral care, prayer or assistance, please fill out a care form or call 917-206-1451.
In case of emergency, please call 911, your local emergency room or 1-888-NYC WELL (888-692-9355).
Pray With a Deek
You can receive personal prayer from a deacon or deaconess after Sunday services. You do not need to fill out a care request form or call the helpline number; simply come to the stage stairs on your right, where they are waiting to welcome and pray with you.

Group counseling is a powerful counseling approach that can be a vital complement to individual counseling and other resources for care. At Redeemer Counseling Services (RCS), Renewal Groups combine gospel-centered, biblical truth with some of the best tools from counseling psychology. Each Renewal Group is made up of six to eight people and a professional counselor focusing on a particular area of healing and growth. The counselor guides the group through regular times of sharing, interaction and learning.
