Other Ways to Connect
50+Connection is a community of Redeemer attendees 50 and older who want to become more engaged in the life of the church and each other. We seek to develop and strengthen relationships through a variety of cultural, educational and social activities.

Our vision is for women to worship God and draw others to worship. We seek to organically and structurally create environments for women to deepen and broaden in relationships and point each other to Christ.
An organic way to connect with other women is to cross-pollinate groups. We understand that women want to both deepen and broaden their relationships with each other. Creating joint ventures with other Community Groups will be a fruitful way for us to grow not only in our relationships with each other but also in our relationship with Christ. Below are some ideas to connect different Community Groups. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you need help connecting your group to others.
Ideas for group connections:
- Book clubs
- Cultural events with other groups
- Discussion groups
- Hope for New York service opportunities
- Inviting mature Community Group leaders to do a panel for your group
- Retreats with other Community Groups
- Saturday brunches

Are you newly married? Are you interested in meeting other newly married couples? Marriage Lab is a ministry for couples in their first year of marriage which consists of a monthly gathering of newlyweds grouped with seasoned mentor couples, led by Dr. Brent Bounds. Marriage Lab focuses on building strong marriages right from the beginning. The time together will be very practical and interactive, addressing topics such as communication, conflict resolution, finances, intimacy and more, and will provide valuable community through your first year of marriage. Redeemer Marriage Lab kicks off in September and enjoys an autumn overnight retreat at Tarrytown House in Tarrytown, NY. We then continue to meet one Wednesday per month at 7:30 p.m. from October through May.
Space is limited to 20 couples.
Preference will be given to those in their first year of marriage and to regular attenders or members of Redeemer. You must be married prior to September 27, 2019. If you are affiliated with a church other than Redeemer, please contact Ellen at email@example.com to be put on a wait list.
Dates: Kick off September 11, 2019; Retreat September 28-29, Monthly Gatherings: October 2, November 6, December 4, January 8, February 5, March 4, April 1, May 6. Note: Because the retreat is integral to the year, we do ask every couple to attend. We also ask that you commit to most, if not all, the monthly sessions as we regularly have a wait list of interested participants.
Cost: $500/couple. This fee represents a fraction of the actual cost; the rest is being subsidized. We think you will feel it is well-worth the money! If this cost upfront is a barrier, please contact Ellen at firstname.lastname@example.org for information on payment options/partial scholarships.
If you are currently seriously dating or engaged and looking for guidance and insight into your relationship, Redeemer offers a couple of options for you including Premarital courses and counseling. More information can be found here.
