ES Youth Day Retreat

We invite ALL Middle and High School students to join for a day retreat to Governors Island!

Missing out on our regular Fall Retreat cannot be replaced, but we hope getting away for the day and spending intentional time together will be a way God works to unite and deepen our youth community. Therefore, on November 1st, we will head down to Gov. Island to learn from our friends at Earth Matter, enjoy all the island has to offer, and spend time in fellowship and worship as a youth community unplugged from daily routine. It is $25 for the full day- including breakfast/lunch, activities, and any ferry tickets needed, but of course, don't let price be a barrier if it would prevent you from coming with us.

Registration is open now through midnight on Sunday, October 25th, so sign up today!

What we'll do: We will take the UES ferry or meet downtown for a morning devo and breakfast then hop on the ferry over to Governors Island. Once there, we'll learn about composting and work in a lavender field, followed by lunch and exploring the island. That afternoon we'll spend some time reflecting on the Lord and worshipping together, then eat dinner together at local spots on the island and head back to our homes.

What to bring: Bring clothes that can get dirty, a water bottle, money for dinner on the Island, and a mask.

How we're staying safe: We'll have students keep their masks on whenever we cannot properly social distance ourselves and will be applying hand sanitizer/washing hands throughout the day. We're creating a time that is almost all open-air from the time we leave the UES to when we return- so the main thing to worry about is good weather!
