Worship Service Time and Location

Join us!

Our lives are filled with screens. Work, entertainment, connection — so much of it has become virtual. While this had made lots of things more flexible and accessible, it’s also true that we miss something important when we live and relate in two-dimensions. We long for an embodied feeling of presence with God and with other humans.

At Redeemer East Side, we believe worshiping together is one of the many ways we experience God tangibly. As we sing, pray, and connect, we grow individually and communally. There’s nothing like being physically present with one another. We’d love for you to be part of it.

Time

We offer one service on Sundays at 10:30am.

For special service times during holiday seasons, please check our calendar.

Location

We meet at Temple Israel, located at 112 E 75th St, New York, NY 10021 (East 75th Street between and Lexington and Park Avenues).

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have questions? We’d love to hear from you. Send them to [email protected]. Below are some frequently asked questions to help you get started. If you are joining us for the first time, head over to the I’m New page for more details.

Do you have protocols for COVID-19?

Redeemer East Side is committed to the safety and care of our church family and our neighbors. We remain flexible as the local and federal guidelines continue to shift. Based on current protocols, masks are optional and all are welcome to worship without wearing masks or social distancing. Masks are available if you desire. Out of respect for others, we ask that you stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms, have had a positive COVID-19 test in the last 10 days, or have had close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 10 days.

How do I get to Temple Israel?

Temple Israel is easily accessible by public transportation. For the subway, we are closest to the 6 train (77th St stop) and the Q (72nd St stop). For bus routes and recommendations, check out the MTA site or the My MTA app.

How long is the service?

The typical service is about 75 minutes.

What is the service like?

It includes music, prayer, a message, and opportunities to connect with people. The music style alternates week to week between Classical and Gospel.

What should I wear?

Wear what feels comfortable. Some people come in jeans and a t-shirt, while others wear business casual attire.

Is there childcare?

Yes! Click here to see all our options. We also have a cry room on the 5th floor where parents can view the livestream while changing a diaper, let the little ones crawl around a bit, or feed them in privacy.

What if I can’t come in person?

We continue to stream our first service at 9:30 am live on YouTube. Click here to view our channel, or search “Redeemer East Side.”

Is there an opportunity to receive prayer?

Members of our diaconate are available to pray with you after each service. Look for the people with name tags standing to the right of the stage each Sunday. Additionally, elders offer healing prayer every Communion Sunday, which is generally the first Sunday of each month. To learn more about our care offerings, head to the Care & Assistance page.

Where can I listen to past sermons?

Sermons are available to stream on all major podcast platforms. Search Redeemer East Side wherever you get podcasts. Older sermons are also available at gospelinlife.com.
