Fruit of the Spirit
As Redeemer East Side continues in our theme of Life in the Kingdom, this summer we will explore the Fruit of the Spirit: how God changes us through his Spirit to become more like Jesus. We invite you to ask a few friends or your Community Group to use the Fruit of the Spirit devotional daily, discuss the sermon scripture weekly, and pray with our church at noonday prayer daily - all centered around the Fruit of the Spirit. New resources are released each Friday for the following week.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." -Galatians 5:22-23
Use the devotional guide to deepen your understanding of and living in the power of God’s Spirit. Each day begin with the opening prayer, reflect on a scripture passage and quotation, and then pray the closing prayer. The worship songs can be listened to throughout the week. When a particular scripture stands out to you, pause and meditate on it, considering why God is showing this to you and how the Spirit bear fruit through you today.
The weekly discussion guides include a worship section to focus your attention on God, then discussion questions to guide interaction over the Bible passage and prayer topics. We recommend that virtual gatherings are an hour or less so that you anticipate rather than get fatigued meeting together. If you need further guidance for your virtual discussion times, please reach out to the Community Group team at [email protected].
