"Behold, I’m doing a new thing!”
— Isaiah 43:19a
We began the 2018-2019 Ministry Year with a special season of “Covenant Renewal” — 40 days of guided prayer starting September 23 and culminating in a covenant renewal worship service on November 1, 2018. Together, we took time to ponder how, why, and for what God formed us into a people — remembering our past thankfully, examining ourselves honestly, and committing our lives fully to the vision of being a church in and for the city.
The 40 Day of Prayers booklet is avaialble to download here. Special editions are also available for children and youth. You may also use this website and jump to prayer days 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40.

Neighborhood Prayer Walks
We believe in the power of planning, strategizing, and executing plans well. However, more than anything else, if we want to see our city renewed and transformed by the Gospel, our greatest asset is our ability to pray. Prayer walks give congregants opportunity to learn about the needs of their neighborhood that they might pray together for it. Understanding a neighborhood’s history; to see its brokenness, its beauty, and its systemic issues, gives fresh vision for what God desires to do.
Sunday, November 18 at 12 p.m.
SW corner of 68th St. and Lexington Ave.
Gather outside of the Hunter West Building on the weekend of the Formed for Justice Conference to receive prayer walk instructions and get paired up to walk through our East Side neighborhoods in prayer.
