Redeemer East Side Update

This past Saturday, the members of our congregation took an historic vote that reconstituted Redeemer into three particular churches—Redeemer East Side, Redeemer West Side, and Redeemer Downtown. This transformative vote was a major step toward our vision of becoming a tightly-knit family of neighborhood churches that will each, in turn, send out even more sites and congregations. All this reflects our commitment to new churches, rooted in their neighborhoods, as one of the most effective ways to reach the city with the gospel.

But you don’t have to wait for a new Redeemer site to start in your neighborhood to be a part of this vision to reach the city. In fact, we need you to start now! One really easy way to do that is to bring a friend or neighbor to one of our upcoming Neighborhood Gatherings. These gatherings are casual social events that take place in local restaurants and bars. Not only will you meet lots of other Redeemer East Siders who live near you, we hope you will together all feel a little more rooted where God has placed you. Because God has called each of us to play an invaluable part in reaching this city, starting right where you live. I hope to see you there!

+ If spreading love through food is something that interests you and you are willing to cook and deliver a meal to a congregant in need, the Diaconate's Meals Ministry is in urgent need of volunteers.
