“A Praying Life” Seminar
May 9-10, 2025
Redeemer East Side, 150 E. 91 St.
Thousands of people have already experienced the movement of A Praying Life–from reading the bestselling book by Paul E. Miller or attending a seminar at a local church.
“A Praying Life Seminar is the most practical training in prayer possible, yet it is rooted in biblical theology. I highly recommend it.” —Tim Keller
Overview
This seminar is not for victorious Christians, but Christians defeated in prayer, asking…
- How do I focus when I’m distracted with so much to do?
- How do I pray longer than five minutes?
- How do I ask when I’ve tried it before and it doesn’t work?
Delving into our frustrations, we look at Jesus’ powerful yet simple teachings on prayer. We practice becoming child-like, patterning after Jesus’ own teaching and style of praying. We learn to ask our Father anything—with eyes wide open to the story he is creating in our lives. Further practical tools are explained and demonstrated. Throughout the sessions we will have time to pray, practicing what we’ve learned.
Together, we will learn the key elements to prayer:
- Talk like a child with your Father in heaven.
- Prayer as a part of your relationship
- Prayer as a conversation
- Prayer in tension
A Praying Life is a ministry of seeJesus - a global discipling mission that creates discipleship tools and trains churches to use them so we all look more like Jesus.
Speaker
James Pavlic’s passion is to preach and teach Jesus Christ and him crucified whenever and wherever he can. James has his Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary and is currently working on his Doctorate of Ministry from there as well. He has taught in the church for over 15 years and was bi-vocationally pastoring for seven years before taking the pastorate at Christ Presbyterian Church. Prior to Christ Presbyterian Church, James was a church planter in Middlefield, Ohio and served as the pastor of small groups and church planting at Parkman Congregational Church (4Cs denomination). One of James’ passions is to see God’s people be praying people and see the church be a praying church, so he teaches A Praying Life seminars for seeJesus. James and his wife, Amanda, have four children, three of whom are adults. He, Amanda, and Zadok live in Merrimack, NH. |
