Be Together - Join Us in Community

We were created to Be Together—enjoying one another, sharing a common purpose and loving genuinely. The pandemic has made finding this kind of community seem unimaginable – it has isolated us and made us wonder if we belong in NYC after all. But the good news is that authentic community in this season, this city and beyond is possible because of Jesus Christ. God welcomes us into his family, and we invite you to experience the power of God’s family through the many ways we can Be Together here at RES.

Community Groups

One way we invite you to Be Together is through Community Groups. Composed of 6 to 12 people, groups meet in-person or online. All groups are led by trained lay leaders from our congregation who receive continued oversight and support from our pastoral staff. Groups generally meet two to four times a month for worship, Bible study, fellowship and prayer. Many groups also participate in monthly service projects or social events in place of one regular meeting. Within these small communities you can expect to cultivate friendships, be transformed and go on mission together with the PEACE of Christ.

Collectives are new to Redeemer East Side! A Collective is a space to connect with others over a common interest or hobby for the purpose of enjoyment and community. It is an opportunity to enjoy life and a hobby together while intentionally inviting others in. Common interests and hobbies might include a passion for service, a particular sport, art appreciation or so much more. Current Collectives include:
